Well, as is now the norm, I report on some anti-LGF type of activity and all the sudden it's over at LGF with no credit to me. I'm getting depressed over here, Charles! Come on, give me some credit! OK, I'm just kidding. I just report on this crap, and that Charles is attacking something that appeared only over at GoV (out of the blogs we cover), is rather a good thing. Baron Oddity and his genocidal tendencies need to be covered by the biggest blogs that will cover it. Anyways, here's Charles:

Another “counter-jihad summit” was held last weekend at a secret, highly secure location somewhere in the wilds of Muslim-occupied Copenhagen. Somehow the brave anti-jihad warriors managed to avoid being beheaded.
OK, is it just me, or is Charles' demeaning posts about these freaks starting to get funnier and funnier? That bit of prose was followed by this pic:

Speaking of the fascist sympathizers at Gates of Vienna (linked above), you can now find their articles at the website of the Czech Republic’s National Party — an extreme right-wing group allied with the neo-Nazi British National Party, that advocates a ‘Final Solution’ to the gypsy problem.
A far-right party in Czech Republic which demanded a ‘final solution’ to the issue of gypsies has been exposed as having strong links with the BNP in Britain.
The National Party in Prague stunned mainstream politicians and viewers with an electioneering ad using Nazi-era rhetoric that called for a ‘final solution to the gypsy issue’.
In WW2 the highest echelons of the Nazi party in Germany sought the ‘final solution to the Jewish question’ – the euphemism which covered the industrial-scale slaughter of six million men, women and children in the extermination camps.
In the tasteless Czech ad the camera pans over dishevelled and dirty-looking Roma women and children, intended to show them in the worst possible light, before a voice-over says: ‘We call for final solution to the gypsy issue’.
There were also slogans on screen such as ‘Stop black racism,’ ‘No favouring of Gypsies’, and ‘We don’t want black racists among us’. Czech bigots routinely refer to Roma people as blacks.
The National Party’s Petra Edelmannova was a featured speaker at the recent “Pro-Köln” demonstration in Germany; other scheduled speakers included Robert Spencer of jihadwatch.org and Pamela Geller of atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com, who backed out when their planned participation was exposed by LGF.
Edelmannova’s appearance at “Pro-Köln” was hyped recently by ... you guessed it ... Gates of Vienna.
OK, despite his past and his unwillingness to post a straight-up apology for that past, Charles really is doing a good job of going after these little bloggers playing at being good little brown shirts. I must commend Charles yet again for this attitude and coverage of a pathetic little event, though an event that can grow via the web and Baron's best efforts. Just remember, Fred Phelps' "movement" was almost dead locally until the Phelps family (somehow) figured out the web. Baron and his near genocidal tendencies are the same, especially with his alliance with bloggers like Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer. LGF is (though attacked heartily by those at LGF2 among other sites--like GoV) now standing as a wall against these little fascists and I can only commend Charles for the stance he has taken when it comes to these little bastards. Whether it is true emotion or merely vendetta, it is helping. Just look at some of the comments:

About the "counter-jihad" going secret- I don't understand it. I thought they were proud of their work and there were no issues with their alliance because their friends are pure as the driven snow. So why the secrecy?

Notice how when a movement is discredited, it morphs into a (pretended) free-speech movement? "Oh, we're not creationists... we just want equal time in the classroom." "Oh, we're not neo-Nazis... we just want to reopen the debate over the so-called Holocaust."
And now, the pro-Koeln guys are gathering together in a "Free Speech International" conclave.

See the update above for more interesting connections between the brave anti-jihad bloggers of Gates of Vienna and the Czech National Party -- who advocate a 'final solution' for gypsies in the Czech Republic.
I'll leave the rest for you folks to read, but Charles is really starting to do his research on this topic and not just sticking to creationists, banning people and hatin Ron Paul. This research is going to prove very interesting in this fight, especially as Spencer did state a ways back that he wasn't going to leave these attacks by Johnson unanswered. For my part, I say keep it up, Charles. Spencer runs a hate site and you can take him down, just check those comments!

So why the secrecy?LOL, because over here everyone knows that the "counter-jihad" movement is just the newest manifestation of anti-immigrant fascism. Just like the hard-core racists in the states are now operating as SOS ("Save Our State") ostensibly as an anti-immigrant group, but actually straight up "White Power" (see: saveourstate.org, look at the photos, straight up skinheads and all manner of trash)
Whatever. Due to the history, rest assured these guys will get no peace here in Europe and most of the protesters will be as "white" as the wind driven snow, not "darkies" or "Muslims" or whatever euphemism you prefer for alien outsiders of a different race and religion.
I am in the Czech Republic for the next month, luckily I haven't come across any of these "Czech National Party" types.
Having lived for six months in Romania, I know about the Roma (Gypsy) issue, and it is a real one (think of inner city - code for Black and Latino - crime in US major cities). There is a real problem, but adopting racist and collectivist, i.e. simple, answers to complex problems is no solution. And, of course, any "final solution" has poison written all over it.

That was pretty funny. I guess CJ has a sense of humour buried somewhere beneath his massive sense of self-righteousness after all.
It's usually the other side that comes out with humourous mockery at CJ's expense, like those Hitler videos for example. Good for CJ for getting in on the action and giving us a good laugh. If he would have attacked his enemies all this time using such funny-bone-tickling wit instead of his usual bitter vitriol...well, he might not have convinced any of us fascists of the righteousness of his anti-VB crusade, but he would have definitely alienated fewer people along the way.
John--yep, to me they're a new manifestation of this now forgotten movement, The Know Nothings, which I frequently link. I'm aware also of the Roma and their plight, as if they hadn't been victimized enough in the past. How these groups go after these ethnic groups which have already faced so much discrimination and even pogroms (and worse, and Hitler....) is beyond me. How they do this and then yell the loudest about NOT being like the Nazis is almost hilarious. Almost.
My Mom as a kid in Georgia used to get called a "Cuban N%$&er". I've been called a "dirty Mexicans" by neighbors that it ended up not being too hard to scare right off the block. For some people it just never dies. And usually all by people who claim Native American blood along with their "pure white". I love that part. Oh well, that's what I get for being a Cuban-Greek-a-Billy. At least in the U.S. we have too many immigrants from too many places for much of any of these "movements".

Jeppo--one bad thing is that people on your side have actually (though jokingly) started calling themselves "fascists"! I HAD to give Charles credit on this one. I just had to. He finally had the confidence he had previously sort of lacked to just stand back and mock these people in a truly funny way. Maybe because his ire is saved for Pam & Bob and not Baron Oddity, but still, he wrote a truly funny post. And he was right! I'd just better check on the LGF2ers on this one....they're bound to be unhappy about it all. More's the fun, eh?

Also, oddly enough, I was born and at least partially raised in Georgia as well. My Mom still lives there and runs for the GA state legislature, though being a far-left liberal Jew in a far-right conservative Christian district pretty much guarantees she'll never get elected. She just does it because she hates the fact that the sitting representative was consistently unopposed until she decided to step up. It made for an interesting place to grow up since I "looked" as white as they come people would be much more inclined to say all manner of nonsense on the operating premise that I would probably agree with them. Lots of weird stories. :)
Jeppo - while not saying this is the case in the U.S., in Europe the "anti-jihad" movement really is simply a new manifestation of the old fascist movements that have been desperately seeking respectability since WW2. They gained the most respectability by joining - and then coming to dominate - the various anti-immigrant movements dating back to the 1970's (think, for example, of the British National Front, forerunner of the BNP; or the Italian MSI). They tried to capitalize on the old 1970's and 1980's secular terrorism (Munich, the Libyans, &c.), but this somewhat failed because most of the Left secular terrorists were in fact Europeans (Baader-Meinhoff, the Red Brigades, &c.), so it didn't mesh well with the anti-immigrant angle. However, the rise of modern "Islamic" terrorism, goes together with the anti-immigrant position much better since very few native Europeans are involved. The "anti-jihad" movement adds an element or urgency to their basic cause - expelling the outsiders - that the basic anti-immigrant movement could never really muster.
The dynamics in the States are different, but this is most assuredly the case here in Europe. With the exception of some people in the UK in the wake of the 7/7 subway attacks, it is virtually impossible to separate the "anti-jihad" movement from the European neo-fascist movements.

Hey, my whole family other than my GA cousins lives in the Tampa Bay Area. I'm there half the time myself. My Dad grew up in Tarpon Springs (Greektown--go figure--and I look FOB , "Fresh off the Boat", myself) but the rest of the family had moved on to Tampa by then. My family's into everything there really. Even that damned Gasparilla. I hate pirates (other than my Great Uncle that is). We're also "Azagthoths", so I occasionally post some Morbid Angel here just for fun...LOL.

No, very much an American, just one who "quit" the US. I only lived in Tampa/St. Pete for about a year, weird circumstances and a long story. It really wasn't for me and I left there to move to Denver, which I loved (and still love). Though it sounds like I would have done better there if I knew your family, LOL.
As for "Azagthoths" and Morbid Angel, it isn't exactly my thing anymore but I do know this and have even seen them (in New Jersey, a long time ago - perhaps I am dating myself). I prefer modern electro-goth/EBM (think Lame Immortelle, Wolfsheim, Melotron, Tyske Ludder, and so on) and dark synth-jazz and experimental (think Blue Tech, Boards of Canada, Attrition, Laibach, and so on).
Anyway, yes, I am a yank. About July 2007 I saw the financial crisis coming (I did legal analysis in a major - Fortune 500 - finacial/investment firm) and decided it was time to stop daydreaming about fleeing the US and to actuaally do it. It took about a year of preparation, and I was still in Denver for the DNC (and was actively involved in organizing the anti-war and anti-racist demonstrations for the DNC, since as far as I am concerned Democrats are just "kinder and gentler" Republicans, parties that hate the poor and real people in favor of their corporate masters).
At the end of August I set off. First to Ireland (where I have family), then Italy, then ROmania and I totally fell in love with Bucureşti. Now I am in the Cyech Republic to get an additional degree that will help me secure a better job. I will only be here for about a month, and then hopefully it is back to Romania. Romanian women are spectacular. The only thing I have seen better is in Moldova, the women in Chişinău are a mix of perfect Romanian women and damn fine Russian women. LOL.
Anyway, the goal is permanent expatriation. I quit the US, mostly due to political reasons and due to my former job (legal analysis and tax planning) I make some money showing other US expats how to legally avoid US taxes. :) Instead of being a corporate whore, now I am aiming at becoming a teacher of business and legal English to corporate types here in Eastern Europe.
So far so good.
